The licensed Speech-Language Pathologists of Strafford Learning Center (SLC) not only provide services within our own programs but also extend their experience to local schools within our member and non-member districts. These services include assessment of speech, language, voice, and fluency, as well as providing direct intervention and consultation with school staff and parents. Depending on the needs of the student, various specific intervention models are used. The speech-language professional may use one or a combination of the following service delivery systems:

• Classroom-based intervention with either a selected student or the entire class
• Team-teaching with the regular classroom teacher or special education staff
• One-to-one or small group intervention
• Consultation with other service providers

Our speech-language staff is available to offer consultation and training to other professionals on specialized topics (e.g., assessment, autism, AAC, etc.).
