School Psychology

Strafford Learning Center (SLC)'s school psychologists provide a variety of supports and services to area school districts in an effort to help ALL students achieve their best.

Our school psychologists provide direct support and interventions to students, consult with families, teachers and other school staff to improve support strategies, work with administrative teams to improve school-wide practices and policies, and collaborate with community stakeholders to coordinate supports and services.

SLC school psychologists use best practices in psychological and educational assessment, data collection strategies, and technology resources, and apply those results to design, implement, and evaluate direct interventions, psychological services, and programs.

SLC school psychologists can offer assistance to districts with implementation of evidence-based school practices that promote learning and mental and behavioral health. This includes topics related to resilience and risk factors in learning and mental health, building multi-tiered systems of prevention and support, and evidence-based strategies for effective crisis response.
