Strafford Learning Center (SLC) provides Child Find services for children between the ages of birth through five years.

For children up to three years:

• Processing referrals
• Assisting in the coordination of referrals
• Gathering and reviewing background information
• Screening the child and if necessary, referring to the appropriate agency

For children ages three to six:

• Processing referrals
• Coordinating meetings to ensure NH DOE compliance
• Conducting developmental assessments
• Writing reports
• Refer for appropriate evaluations
• Developing an IEP- if appropriate
• Maintaining communication with parents, appropriate school personnel, and community organizations
• Completing paperwork and any other reporting requirements specific to districts
